Excel For Dummies

All editions of this book, from the original Excel For Dummies and Excel All-In-One For Dummies published in the mid 90's to Excel 2019 For Dummies and Excel 2019 All-In-One For Dummies in 2018, are some way a tribute to the business people I've taught over the years in my many spreadsheet classes. Their concerns and questions are echoed throughout the text as are my attempts to show new users not only how to use a particular Excel feature but how using this feature can benefit them in their work. As of now, there are two current versions of Excel covered in four books in this best-selling series. Click Learn More to determine which book is right for you.

The Origins of Tolkien's Middle-earth For Dummies

image11

By far and away, this title was the most fun to write and the most work to get published. In the book, I make no attempt to retell the stories laid out so well by the world renowned author, J.R.R. Tolkien, in his many works on Middle-earth. Rather, I attempt to explore existing folk legends and myths that may well have inspired some of his more vibrant characters and indelible tales. For me, it's not just Tolkien's singular writing style that makes his Middle-earth work so extraordinary but the underlying lessons that his saga so clearly conveys as well. I hope you have as much fun reading this book as I had in researching and writing it!

Grieving For Dummies

Born out of more than a decade of professional involvement with hospice patients and my personal experience with the loss of my life partner of nearly 20 years, this book tackles the loss of a loved one, one of the most deeply personal, difficult, and inescapable of human events. In it, I attempt to provide a guide for moving through this arduous and thoroughly transformative process to one day find a peace that aptly honors and commemorates both your loss and your loved one. Off all of my books, this title still remains my favorite.
